FIFA has praised fans for their "incredible support" as the 2026 FIFA World Cup gets off to a strong start, reporting an average attendance of more than 63,000 across the first 12 matches, with stadiums operating at 99.5% capacity.

The co-hosted tournament across the United States, Canada, and Mexico has already delivered memorable moments both on and off the pitch. FIFA highlighted packed venues, including the vibrant Brazil vs. Morocco clash, as evidence of strong fan enthusiasm for the expanded 48-team format. Officials project the tournament could surpass the all-time cumulative attendance record of 3.5 million set by the 1994 World Cup in the United States.
