The full schedule for FIFA World Cup 2026 has been revealed

The World Cup is set to begin from June 11

The FIFA World Cup 2026 draw took place at the John F. Kennedy Centre on Friday. The tournament is set to feature a total of 48 teams for the first time ever and will be held in Mexico, Canada and USA. The teams have been divided in a total of 12 groups with one group consisting of four teams each.

Group I is one of the groups that will feature multiple exciting matchups as France, Senegal and Norway have been drawn together. This will see Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland face-off on the grandest stage of all. On the other hand, Senegal won't be a walk in the park for any of the teams either. They will be joined by either Bolivia or Suriname or Iraq in the group. Another group that has been talked about a lot is Group L, consisting of England, Croatia, Panama and Ghana.

On the other hand, Italy is one of the notable teams that will be featuring in the playoffs with their fate yet to be decided. If they do end up qualifying, then they will be joining Canada, Qatar, and Switzerland in Group B.

The tournament opener will take place on June 11 between co-hosts Mexico and South Africa at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City. Another match that will be held on the opening day of the tournament will be between South Korea and the winner of European Playoff D (Denmark/North Macedonia/Czech Republic/Republic of Ireland).
