Enzo Fernandez has sparked major uncertainty over his future at Stamford Bridge. Following Chelsea's disappointing 3-0 (2-8 aggregate) defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last-16 last night, which ended their European campaign, the Argentine midfielder gave a non-committal response when asked if he would stay long-term. 

Enzo Fernández’s future with Chelsea remains uncertain after UCL exit

Enzo was asked whether he could guarantee a future with the Blues next season. The vice-captain replied:

"I don't know.”

The 25-year-old star added: 

“My focus is here for now. We have eight Premier League matches to play and the FA Cup. Then, the World Cup coming up so we'll see after that."

Meanwhile, Liam Rosenior’s side is set to face Everton in the English Premier League this weekend following their disappointing spell in the UEFA Champions League. 

In their last PL game, they fell 0-1 against Newcastle United, who will face FC Barcelona in the Round of 16 of the UCL in an attempt to book a spot in the quarterfinals. Chelsea are currently 6th in the EPL table, following Liverpool in fifth.
