Kylian Mbappe's honest confession: Ready to sacrifice all for France to win World Cup

In a light-hearted but telling exchange, the France captain was asked a hypothetical question: “What if France win the World Cup but you score zero goals?”

Mbappé replied without hesitation:

“I’d SIGN it. And with a permanent marker.”

The comment underscores the 27-year-old superstar’s team-first mentality as Les Bleus chase a third World Cup title. Having already scored a hat-trick in the 2022 final, yet ending up on the losing side, Mbappé appears more determined than ever to lift the trophy, regardless of personal tallies.

The former Paris Saint-Germain striker has scored multiple goals in a World Cup where France did not win the title. In the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the French star scored 8 goals, winning the Golden Boot, across 7 matches, including a dramatic hat-trick in the final against Argentina.

Despite his heroics in Qatar, which forced extra time and a penalty shootout, France finished as runners-up, losing 4-2 on penalties after a 3-3 draw. However, he scored 4 goals in the 2018 World Cup, including one in the final, which France won.
