A class act by a rival player as a Real Madrid star has come out in support of Lamine Yamal and has asked the critics to stay away from his personal life. The Los Blancos player has also urged everyone to instead judge him by his professional life and leave him alone for the other things away from the football field.
Real Madrid star defends rival Lamine Yamal by calling out critics
Kylian Mbappe is done with the criticisms and negative comments towards Yamal. The French forward, during an interview with Jorge Valdano on Movistar, said:
"You can see [Lamine] has passion for football and that's the only thing he mustn't lose.”
The 26-year-old further said:
"The rest is just his life. People talk about his personal life, but I think people should leave him alone."
Mbappe called the FC Barcelona player “a great football player” and the striker wants everyone to remember that he is just an “18-year-old kid.”
Mbappe, during the aforementioned interview, continued saying:
"At 18 everyone makes mistakes. He'll live his life. We should only look at what he does on the pitch. The rest isn't important, as long as it isn't anything serious. He's a player with a great talent."
Yamal is currently recovering from injury and has been ruled out of Spain’s World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Bulgaria this month. The player is also sidelined for FC Barcelona after suffering a recurrence of his groin injury.
As per reports, the Spaniard is ruled out for up to three weeks after the problem resurfaced following 2-1 loss to Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday.
