Mohamed Salah has been under the spotlight following his recent comments made in public about Liverpool and head coach Arne Slot. The Egyptian accused the club of throwing him ‘under the bus,’ after which the forward was dropped from the squad against Inter Milan. The player also stated that he would bid his farewell to the Liverpool fans when the club plays Brighton at Anfield. 

Slot recently appeared in the press conference ahead of the game against Milan and responded to the controversial remarks made by Salah. He was asked if Salah has already played his last game with the Premier League side, and here is what the Reds boss has replied.

Slot in uncertain if Salah has played his last game with Liverpool and has no idea about the situation. He said: 

“I have NO clue, I cannot answer this question at this moment in time”.

The Dutch manager was also asked if there is any way back for Salah to the club, and Slot had a very welcoming reply. He said: 

“I'm a firm believer that there is always a RETURN for a player”.

The 47-year-old stated that he is ‘polite,’ but that doesn't mean he is ‘weak’ enough to act on the comments made by Salah in public. Hence, the Liverpool star was withdrawn from the Champions League squad and did not travel to Italy. 

Slot revealed that there was only one conversation with the player, which was about him not being involved in the team's travelling to Italy. Salah, who took part in the training on Monday, has his future unclear as of now.
