Kylian Mbappé is ready for the upcoming World Cup, which is just days away. The French captain, just ahead of the footballing major, has revealed who he desires to face on the big stage, and it is someone who is playing his final World Cup.  

The Real Madrid star has expressed his desire to come up against Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar Jr. at the upcoming World Cup, describing it as a dream matchup in what is expected to be the veterans’ final appearance on football’s biggest stage.

In a recent interview with Sorare, the 27-year-old Real Madrid star said: 

“I dream of facing Cristiano and Neymar at the World Cup. It will be their last World Cup.”

Ronaldo, who turns 41 during the tournament, continues to lead Portugal’s attack, while the 34-year-old Neymar is pushing for a strong return with Brazil after injury setbacks. Mbappé, already a World Cup winner in 2018 and runner-up in 2022, sees the clash as a symbolic passing of the torch among global superstars. 

With the 2026 tournament, the first 48-team edition just weeks away, Mbappé’s remarks underscore the narrative of one last dance for two of modern football’s greatest talents.
