PSG defeated the German side 5-4 in a goal-filled UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg on Tuesday at home, producing one of the highest-scoring and most entertaining matches in the competition's history.

The defending champions built a 5-2 lead through braces from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembélé, plus a goal from João Neves, but Bayern fought back with strikes from Harry Kane, Michael Olise, Dayot Upamecano, and Luis Díaz.

The French side held on for the narrow victory in a contest marked by relentless attacking play, end-to-end action, and exceptional intensity from both sides.

Enrique described it afterward as "the best match I’ve ever been part of as a coach," praising the pace, physicality, and mutual respect shown by both teams. The result leaves the tie finely balanced heading into the second leg in Munich, where Kompany will return to the touchline.
