Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has purchased a minority stake in Birmingham Phoenix, the city's franchise in The Hundred cricket competition. The 22-year-old, who rose through the ranks at Birmingham City, announced the investment on Wednesday. The English footballer revealed his deep connection to his hometown and his passion for cricket. This marks the first time an individual has taken an ownership stake in one of The Hundred's teams.

 "I love Birmingham and I love cricket as well.”
