Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has said goodbye to his beloved club Liverpool. This will be the last season he plays for the club. The match against Brentford should be his final appearance if he is fit enough to play for Arne Slot’s side.

The Egyptian’s emotional exit was filled with tributes from head coaches and players. Meanwhile, Salah has disclosed the name of a player whose exit made him cry.

Salah revealed that Trent Alexander-Arnold was the only player whose departure from the club brought him to tears. In a recent heartfelt video with Sky Sports, Salah made the emotional admission while reflecting on the right-back's exit at the end of the 2024/25 season, underscoring the close bond between the two long-time teammates.

The Liverpool star said of his former teammate:

“He’s the only person I cried when he left the club.”

Salah added:

“I cried with his mum. Me, him and his mum. I was crying.”

Alexander-Arnold, a Liverpool academy graduate who spent many years with the club, confirmed his departure in May 2025 ahead of a free transfer to Real Madrid. The move came shortly after Liverpool secured the Premier League title, during which the 26-year-old shared emotional moments with teammates, including Salah.

Despite some fan backlash over the manner of his exit, Salah's comments highlight the strong personal and professional connection the pair shared on the pitch, particularly along Liverpool's right flank. Alexander-Arnold's exit marked the end of an era for one of Liverpool's homegrown stars.
