Not many Indians would get the opportunity to step on the field of Santiago Bernabeu, home of Real Madrid, but a five-year-old Aaron Raphael will have the opportunity of a lifetime. Aaron, who posted a video for the Toni Kroos Academy, has now been invited by the 2014 FIFA World Cup winner and current Real Madrid star. The former Germany international took to his official Instagram account and revealed the winner.
Background of the story
Kroos, a four-time Champions League winner had asked football fans all around the world to send a video for the #KickInto22 challenge. Five-year-old Aaron sent a video where he is striking the ball against a rolling tyre, the ball gets trapped in the rolling tyre and revolves around the axis of the tyre.
The physics behind the technique remains difficult to portray as the direction of the axis of the ball bisects the axis of the tyre and hangs in it to revolve.
Aaron also thanked the German for selecting him and showed his love for the star. Kroos, himself a master of such techniques has shown his class on the pitch for Germany, Real and Bayern Munich in the past.
Aaron will now have the opportunity to travel to Madrid where he will be part of the private training. Notably, Real have some of the best players and facilities in the world. Stars like Karim Benzema, Marcelo and Luka Modric are all part of the roster of the 13-time European champions. Their home ground, Santiago Bernabeu is considered one of the most iconic stadiums in the world. The iconic venue is under renovation and will be installed with a retracting roof in the coming months.
Kroos, who is applying his trade with the current La Liga winners, has been instrumental in the Los Blancos' recent success. During his time Real clinched three consecutive Champions League titles, two La Liga titles. They have also stamped their authority as one of the best teams in the world while Kroos has been an integral part of the team. Currently, they lead the La Liga standings with 50 points, four ahead of second-place Sevilla while Kroos has one goal in 15 in the Spanish top flight.
