Paris Saint-Germain, fresh off their historic Champions League triumph, are preparing for squad changes this summer as key squad players look to move on for more playing time. Amid the historic defense of their UCL title against Arsenal, the club is considering letting go of two of their star players.
Two PSG stars set for summer exit in search of regular minutes after UCL glory
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, South Korean midfielder Lee Kang-in and Portuguese striker Gonçalo Ramos both plan to leave the French club this summer. Despite contributing in big moments, including penalty shootout heroics, the pair have struggled for consistent first-team starts behind PSG’s star-studded attack.
Both players, who are contracted until 2028, have been informed by the club that they will be allowed to depart for the right offer. Atlético Madrid showed concrete interest months ago, making enquiries for both, and more clubs are expected to join the race as the 2026 transfer window heats up.
Lee Kang-in, known for his exceptional left foot, vision, and creativity, has often been limited to substitute appearances. Many fans believe a move to a club where he can start regularly would unlock his full potential. Ramos, a clinical finisher, similarly seeks a more prominent role after finding minutes hard to come by in Paris.
PSG’s depth has become a double-edged sword. While it helped deliver silverware, it has left talented players eager for new challenges. Lucas Chevalier’s situation is also one to watch, as the goalkeeper reportedly wants more regular action too.
