USA President Donald Trump has sent accolades the way of Cristiano Ronaldo in a social media post weeks after their meeting. The Al-Nassr skipper was among the retinue that traveled with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman on a visit to Trump's oval Office in November.

In a social media post, Trump said that Cristiano Ronaldo had called him to thank him for hosting him during his visit to Washington D.C last month. The President appreciated the 40-year-old as a great football player, referring to him as an incredible athlete and person.
"Cristiano Ronaldo, the GREAT soccer (football!) player, just called to thank me for his tour this week of the White House and Oval Office. What an incredible guy he is, not only as an athlete, but as person. You just don't get any better!!! President DJT", he posted (via @RapidResponse47 on X).
In 2014, Ronaldo visited the USA for the first time, when he played there for Real Madrid in a pre-season game. The Portuguese icon was a part of a delegation that included FIFA President Gianni Infantino, The Saudi Crown Prince, Elon Musk, and several others at the Office of the President of the United States.
Ronaldo will pay another visit to the USA in the upcoming summer, as a part of the Portuguese national team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Portugal were placed against Uzbekistan, Colombia, and a playoff qualifier in the group stage of the Mundial.

Cristiano Ronaldo led Portugal team will have their base in Miami for the group stage of the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup. The reigning UEFA Nations League champions were placed in Group K against Colombia, Uzbekistan, and one of Congo DR, Jamaica, or New Caledonia.
Portugal will lock horns with Colombia in the group stage on June 27 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. The Selecao will play their first two games at the NRG Stadium in Houston on June 17 and 23.
Cristiano Ronaldo will be aiming to win the FIFA World Cup for the first time in his iconic career. The experienced striker will be playing in his sixth World Cup, having appeared in every edition of the tournament since 2006. He has previously announced that he will not appear in another World Cup, saying that he will be 41 years old by the time this one commences next summer.
