Lamine Yamal’s father, Mounir Nasraou, is not happy with Ousmane Dembele winning the 2025 Ballon d’Or men’s title. The French international helped Paris Saint-Germain become the first French side to win a continental treble last season. However, Nasraou is upset and believes his son, who finished second, should have won it.

The Spanish winger finished behind Dembele and Nasraou was not able to take the sour taste of the defeat. It seems like the result did not sit right with him and it has failed to convince him. Yamal’s father, exclusively with Spanish tabloid El Chiringuito, during the FaceTime call, said:

“I think it’s the biggest... I’m not going to say theft, but moral damage to a human being.”

Nasraou further said that Yamal is the best player in the world and the FC Barcelona player has no rivals. Yamal’s father is looking forward to next year calling this year’s result ‘strange’. He said, as per the aforementioned source, over a video call:

“I think Lamine Yamal is the best player in the world by far, by a huge margin. Not because he’s my son, but because he’s the best player in the world. I think there are no rivals.”

Meanwhile, during the ceremony at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, Yamal was accompanied by his father, his mother Sheila Ebana, his paternal grandmother and his cousin Mohamed Abde.

Talking about the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner, Dembele had gone through an incredible season with the Ligue 1 side. The 28-year-old clinched four major titles, which also included PSG’s UEFA Champions League, which they won for the first time.

Across all the competitions, the PSG forward netted 37 goals along with 16 assists and helped his side win a continental treble last season to deserve the major footballing award.
