Senegal football players paraded the Africa Cup of Nations title in front of thousands of fans on Saturday ahead of the game in France. This comes after the Confederation of African Football's decision to strip the country of the title and award it to Morocco.

However, this did not stop the players from the Seengal team from showing off the title ahead of the friendly clash against Peru at Stade de France. The parade was led by captain Kalidou Koulibaly, who was captured moving towards the pitch with the trophy, which was a part of their pre-game celebration despite the ruling from CAF.
Meanwhile, amid the ruling to award the title to Morocco, Senegal challenged the decision last week. The legal team of the country stated that they still consider themselves the champions of Africa.
The team was stripped of the title recently by CAF, citing that Senegal forfeited the game by walking off the pitch during the final match in January, which led to a stoppage for 15 minutes. Following this, Morocco was given the victory 3-0 and awarded the AFCON title, to which Senegal has challenged.
