West Ham United suffered a disaster on the final day of the English Premier League 2025-26 season. They have been officially relegated from the Premier League after finishing 18th in the 2025-26 season, ending their 14-year stay in England's top flight.

The Hammers' fate was confirmed on the final matchday as results elsewhere sealed their drop into the Championship, despite a late push for survival that ultimately fell short.

The club, which lifted the UEFA Conference League title in 2023, endured a turbulent campaign plagued by managerial instability and inconsistent performances. The relegation marks a significant setback for a side that had established itself as a solid mid-table Premier League presence and occasional European participant.

Multiple coaching changes throughout the season failed to spark consistent form, leaving West Ham vulnerable in the relegation scrap. As the final whistle blew on Saturday, the club’s players and staff were left to confront the immediate consequences, including a likely exodus of key talent and reduced commercial appeal.

The drop is expected to depress transfer values for several squad members, already drawing early interest from Premier League clubs looking for bargains. West Ham now face the challenge of rebuilding in the second tier with the goal of a swift return to the top flight, a feat they last achieved after their 2012 relegation.
