Indian golf sensation, Anirban Lahiri, showcased a stellar performance by securing the second position at the prestigious LIV Golf Bedminster, registering an overall score of 5-under par.

Lahiri, as India's sole representative in the Liv Series, delivered commendable rounds with scores of 74-64-70. His 5-under aggregate, however, trailed behind the Australian powerhouse, Cameron Smith, who dominated the event with an impressive 12-under (66-67-68).

In the team standings, Smith's Rippers clinched the title, leaving Lahiri's team, spearheaded by the golf maestro, Bryson DeChambeau, in the runner-up position.

This event marked Lahiri's third silver finish on the LIV Golf Tour. He previously secured second positions at the Boston Invitational in 2022 and subsequently in Adelaide. The Bedminster event brought him a whopping $2.25 million, encompassing his $375,000 share from the team's prize money.

While Smith walked away with the title and a grand prize of $4 million, it was Lahiri's second runner-up achievement this season. Boasting four top-20 placements, he now stands at the 15th spot in the Player rankings.

Detailing Lahiri's play, he began from the first tee, only to lose a stroke by the second hole. Redeeming himself with a birdie on the third, he lost another shot on the sixth. However, successive birdies on the 15th and 16th holes culminated in a final round of 70, placing him seven strokes behind Smith.

Abraham Ancer's game witnessed a minor setback with a bogey on the first hole, relegating him to the third spot with a 4-under aggregate.

Reflecting on past events, Cameron Smith not only bagged the individual title in London but also set a record in LIV Golf with the widest winning margin, surpassing Bryson DeChambeau's triumph at Greenbrier. This feat propelled Smith to the pinnacle of the Individual Champion points rankings. Leading the pack by 21 points against Talor Gooch, Smith is poised to capture the season's title.

Key contributions from Smith's team, Rippers, included an exceptional 5-under 66 by the young talent, Morgan. The triumphant Rippers team comprised Cameron Smith, Jediah Morgan, Matt Jones, and Marc Leishman, while the Crushers featured Bryson DeChambeau, Anirban Lahiri, Charles Howell III, and Paul Casey.
