Despite a series of three consecutive losses, the Pirates started the match strongly, quickly establishing a 9-3 lead. This early momentum was boosted by Sachin's three-point Super raid. The Thalaivas, reduced to just two players at one point, staged a remarkable comeback. They not only replenished their team on the mat but also managed to inflict an All-Out on the Pirates around the 15th minute.

Himanshu and Iranian player Amirhossein Bastami from the Thalaivas delivered crucial Super tackles, and substitute Himanshu Narwal added to their efforts with two multi-point raids. This collective effort turned the tide, giving the Thalaivas an 18-14 lead. However, Patna Pirates’ Sudhakar M responded with a series of successful raids, helping his team regain the lead at 21-20 by halftime.

The second half of the match saw the Pirates dominate. Manjeet, coming off the bench, wreaked havoc on the Thalaivas' defence. His efforts contributed significantly to the Pirates securing an All-Out in the 23rd minute, pushing their lead to 27-21. Manjeet continued his onslaught, leading to a second All-Out in the 31st minute, which expanded the Pirates' lead to 37-24.

Despite Tamil Thalaivas' best efforts, the gap widened further, and their chances of a comeback grew slim. The local crowd, while disappointed at the Thalaivas' loss, enthusiastically celebrated Sudhakar's Super 10 achievement and Krishan's High 5. The match concluded with the Patna Pirates securing their first victory after four matches, marking a significant turnaround in their PKL Season 10 campaign. This win not only showcased the Pirates' resilience but also highlighted the potential of new talents like Sudhakar M in the league.
