This season, there are six full-time drivers and four veterans who switched teams for the F1 2025 season. All the six drivers on the grid are rookies and have no prior full-season experience.

Liam Lawson is the most seasoned when it comes to the rookies as he has 11 starts in the previous two seasons. The remaining three drivers in the form of Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes), Gabriel Bortoleto of Kick Sauber and Isack Hadjar of Racing Bulls have no Formula 1 experience as they will all debut at the Australian Grand Prix.

On top of it, Racing Bulls is the Red Bull’s junior team present on the grid as they have gone another name change in the recent years. First the team used to go by the name Toro Rosso, then it soon changed to AlphaTauri. The last season, the team went with the name Visa CashApp RB and it has changed once again this season as they will go by the name - Racing Bulls.

The former seven-time Formula 1 champion, Lewis Hamilton has changed his team from Mercedes to Ferrari. After spending around 12 years with the Silver Arrows, Hamilton has amassed six titles and a total of 84 race wins. He is replacing Carlos Sainz, who will head to Williams after spending four season with the Prancing Horse. During his time at Ferrari, Sainz managed to win only for races. 2025 Formula 1 predictions

For the first time since 2021, the grid saw different winners in terms of the Drivers’ and Constructors’ championships. It was once again Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, who took home his fourth consecutive Drivers’ title as McLaren clinched their first Constructors championship since 1998.

Last season, McLaren showed great pace heading into the second half of the season and the pre-season testing this year also demonstrated their quick pace. Verstappen was not quite quick enough in his RB21 but it’s unfair to doubt his capabilities as he has won 53 races out of the 90 in the past four years.

This season, the grid will have more challengers apart from Verstappen and Norris, who finished the previous season first and second. Oscar Piastri, Lando Norris’ teammate at McLaren would try to showcase his ability on the track as he enters the third season and .

Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will also look to pose challenge for the title this season as they have a promising Ferrari car this time around. The Italian team finished the last season on a high as they secured the second spot in the Constructors’ championship.
