Pulling had an outstanding 2024 season in F1 Academy, securing the title with a dominant performance. She won nine out of 14 races, finishing a massive 121 points ahead of the runner-up, Doriane Pin. The young driver’s consistency was remarkable, as she managed to finish on the podium in every race of the season.

Her remarkable achievement in F1 Academy has earned her a fully funded seat with Rodin Motorsport in the GB3 Championship for 2025. This step represents another significant milestone in Pulling's journey up the motorsport ladder, showcasing her undeniable talent.

A new chapter with Rodin cars

In a statement released on Saturday, Pulling expressed her excitement about her future, revealing her new role as an ambassador for Rodin Cars. This marks a new phase in her racing career as she transitions from F1 Academy to GB3 with the support of Rodin Motorsport. Pulling shared her thoughts on the new opportunity, saying:

I’m really excited to extend my relationship with Rodin Cars and become an ambassador for the brand. We have already had some brilliant success together in British F4 and F1 Academy, and I can’t wait for what’s to come in this next chapter as I take on GB3 with the team.

Abbi Pulling: breaking ties with Alpine

After an impressive season in F1 Academy, Pulling decided not to renew her contract with the BWT Alpine Formula One Team. She expressed her gratitude towards the team for their support during her time with them, stating:

After our championship-winning season in F1 Academy and after lengthy discussions, I have decided not to renew with the BWT Alpine Formula One Team. A huge thank you to everyone at the team, from those at the factory to the incredible partners and sponsors, for all their support along the way. I’ve met some amazing people and made memories that will stay with me forever.

Alpine responds

In response to Pulling's departure, the Alpine team posted a message on social media, expressing pride in her achievements. The statement read:

We’re so proud of all that you have achieved during your time with us. It has been amazing to see you grow and develop, and we wish you the best of luck for the future and will continue to closely follow your progress.

A Changing Landscape for Female Drivers

Pulling's exit from Alpine follows the recent news of Bianca Bustamante, another prominent female racer, cutting ties with McLaren ahead of the 2025 season. Bustamante, who joined McLaren in 2023, will also make the move to GB3 in 2025 after a less-than-ideal F1 Academy season.

Both drivers are setting their sights on new opportunities, with Bustamante signing with Elite Motorsport for the upcoming season.
