It was announced by JR Motorsports on Tuesday, 01st October that Carson Kvapil will drive for the team in the Xfinity Series as a full-time driver for the upcoming 2025 season. Kvapil already had a part-time role with the team this year and will take over from Sam Mayer, who drives the #1 Chevrolet.

What did JR Motorsports post on their X account?

Sam Mayer is making a move to the Cup Series and will be seen driving the #41 Ford Mustang Dark Horse of the Haas Factory Team. Earnhardt Jr. wasted no time and brought Kvapil into the mix as he will drive from the next season. He will be sponsored by Bass Pro Shops. 

While announcing that Carson Kvapil will drive for the team, JR Motorsports shared a post on their X account saying, "The call he's been waiting for. JR Motorsports is proud to promote @Carson_Kvapil to FULL TIME @NASCAR_Xfinity Series racing in 2025 with backing from @BassProShops."

It is a 40-second video clip that features Kvapil working on his #88 Xfinity Series car and then talking to the former NASCAR driver. In the call, Kvapil shared his excitement about driving for the team and making moves with his Chevrolet at Daytona.

The Journey of Carson Kvapil in NASCAR

The newly signed JR Motorsports driver, Carson Kvapil is the son of 2003 NASCAR Truck Series Champion Travis Kvapil and older brother of Caden Kvapil, who drives in the Super Late Model series. Coming from a racing background, Carson has managed to hone his skills and achieve great feats. 

In 2019, he was the CARS Super Late Model Tour Rookie of the Year and in 2021, he won the CARS Super Late Model Tour. Apart from this, he also won the 2022 and 2023 CARS Late Model Stock Tour and the Carolina Pro Late Model Series in 2020. He races full-time for JR Motorsports in the CARS Late Model Stock Tour and will join Connor Zilisch next season, who recently joined the team.

Carson Kvapil has six Xfinity, one Truck, three ARCA Menards, and four ARCA Menards East Series race appearances and has registered eight top-10 finishes to his name.
