The actor-turned-driver Frankie Muniz has shared his thoughts on his tough NASCAR season following the Craftsman Truck Series' stop at Kansas Speedway. He has shown great enthusiasm for the sport even after dealing with a broken right rib injury.
What did Frankie Muniz have to say on the matter?
The 38-year-old New Jersey native competes part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, Xfinity Series and the Craftsman Truck Series. His recent outing at the Kubota Tractor 200 saw him down five laps and finish 29th overall. He was driving the No. 22 Reaume Brothers Racing Ford F-150.
Muniz took to his X account and shared that he was dealing with an injury before practice sessions in Kansas. "So hard to keep my head up. I can't help but feel completely cursed the way this year has gone in racing. Anytime and everything that could happen has happened. Broke my rib right before practice (too hard to explain how)," Muniz said.

As the race started, Muniz cut his tyre while going into turn one. He believes that his Ford ran over something that saw him lose multiple laps and saw himself out of contention in the first laps of the 134-lap long race.
But he remained optimistic and was grateful for getting a chance to drive in NASCAR. "All that said, I have to trust this is all part of God’s plan. I trust the process he is putting me through, and I will not give up. I can’t thank my team enough @RBR_Teams, they work really hard and the luck will turn soon. Also @FordPerformance for believing in me," Muniz added.
"Now, I just hope all you guys stick with me through this tough run. It can't be fun to watch me struggling... Unless you dislike me... Then you must be loving seeing me suffer! Haha. I appreciate the love you all give and we'll be better at the next one,” Muniz concluded.
It was the second start for Frankie Muniz in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series while racing at the Kubota Tractor 200. He made his debut at the Nashville Superspeedway where he saw himself 20 laps down and finished 31st overall.
