Kyle Larson was at the receiving end when he had to face trouble midway through Stage 2 when he got delayed during a pit stop at the South Point 400 race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The driver for Hendrick Motorsports claimed that he has made more mistakes and feels that it won't happen again.

What did Kyle Larson say about this matter?

Apart from winning two races in the playoffs, Larson has faced issues in other races. The latest setback he had to suffer was on lap 125 when Larson got delayed during tyre change as his right rear tyre was not tightly bolted.

The jackman took care of it but in the process, Larson lost a position. He pitted again on lap 127 but this time to tighten his left rear tyre and was down a lap.

Larson has acknowledged the 'mistake' and said, "I make a lot more mistakes than the rest of our team does. Yeah, that allows me to be calm and all that. So, yeah, it was a bit of a mess, but we'll assess it and learn from it. And it'll never happen again. I know that."

'It became a mess on that pit stop, but, you know, we just kept our heads in the game from then from there forward and, you know, almost got a top ten," Larson added.

I love Homestead: Kyle Larson on his next Round of 8 race

The 2021 Cup Series champion Kyle Larson continued his great form in the 2024 playoffs. He has won a total of six races and is one of the top contenders to win the Cup Series championship titles.

After finishing eleventh at Las Vegas, Kyle Larson has dropped two positions in the playoff standings and now sees himself in the third spot. With just two races remaining before the final race in Phoenix, Larson seemed optimistic.

"Yeah, I mean, obviously I love Homestead and we run well there. I would hope for a clean day. Today was not that, but yeah, we're going to be fast there. So, yeah, just try to get some stage points and get a good finish," Larson concluded.
