Lewis Hamilton, the most decorated driver in Formula 1, is all set to begin a new chapter in his motorsports career after joining Ferrari for the 2025 season. The Brit ended his more than a decade long association with Mercedes where he added some significant milestone to his F1 resume that includes six out seven Driver's Championships of his career, 84 grand prix race wins, 104 pole positions and the list goes on. 

His contract with Mercedes concluded after the 2024 season, and he has now joined Ferrari, the most successful team on the F1 grid. There, he aims to fulfill his dream of becoming the driver with the most World Championship titles, currently tied with the legendary Michael Schumacher, who holds seven titles. With exciting new developments on the horizon for his career, Hamilton officially joined Ferrari on January 1. Following his move to the team, the 39-year-old driver issued his first statement.

Hamiton updates his resume

Hamilton recently expressed that he is excited to start the new chapter with Ferrari and went on to share a post on his LinkedIn profile with a childhood picture of himself and marked it as marked it #newjob. In his statement, the British icon shared that despite being an established driver, he is ready to embrace the changes and is looking forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.

With a new team and updated car regulations this season, it will be thrilling to see if Hamilton can secure his record-breaking eighth World Championship or if Max Verstappen will defend his crown and claim his fifth consecutive title.
