After the race, the British racer revealed that the race went pretty terrible for him, as he lacked to compete with the other racers in the race.

Following the conclusion of the race, Lewis Hamilton revealed that he faced some issues with his battery and failed to fetch power during the race.

On being questioned about his experience of the race, Hamilton said that it went pretty terrible for him as he started from P3 and emphasised on the need of understanding the main reason behind his struggle.

"Pretty terrible ultimately, because I was P3 but ended up going backwards. But, yeah, just need to understand where I was losing all the power. Just had a real lack of power through particularly the second stint," said Lewis.

He went on to admit that he failed to compete with other racers right from the beginning because of the lack of power.

"But during the rest of the race, even from the beginning, I couldn't keep up with other people just through the lack of power," added Hamilton.

In the race, Hamilton managed to stay in the last of the podium positions till the 41st lap, but he was then overtaken by his teammate Charles Leclerc. On the next lap, he lost another position to Mercedes' George Russell, pushing him down to P5.

During the 51st and 53rd lap, after a long fight Lando Norris managed to overtake Lewis and had to finish for P6 finish at the 2026 Japanese Grand Prix.
