Christopher Bell is on a prowl to script history at the 2025 NASCAR Phoenix for the Shriners Children's 500. The grid is packed with the best drivers from the world. Bell has been in terrific form this season as in the first three races of the 2025 campaign, he has won two of them back-to-back. This makes him as a favorite going in the race as he will join an elite group of drivers.
Christopher Bell eyeing history at the 2025 NASCAR Phoenix
The Shriners Children's 500 will take place at the Phoenix Raceway on March 10. Bell has an fantastic opportunity to etch his name in the history books if he wins the race.
If Bell manages to secure a win, he will join a pack of drivers who have won three races in a row, a feat which has been achieved only 28 times in the modern era of the sport. Bell is the defending champion going into the race as he won the 2024 Shriners Children's 500. He will join the likes of Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon, and more.
Kyle Larson was the previous driver who achieved this feat
Out of the 28 times this feat has been achieved, only 11 times the driver has managed to secure the series championship too. If Bell wins in Phoenix, he'll become the 18th driver to do so. Kyle Larson is another driver on the grid who was the last driver to achieve this feat.
During the 2021 season, not once but twice did Kyle Larson secured three race wins in a row. That season, Larson managed to win the NASCAR Cup Series Championship too. He opened the season winning the first three races and is the third favorite to win at Phoenix this time around.
The race will be an old-fashioned Western shootout in the desert. Bell is driving on another level altogether as he has already secured a spot in the NASCAR playoffs in November. Only time will decide whether Bell takes the race this time around or Larson leapfrog's him to another race win.
