Asian games gold medalist archer Abhishek Verma's luxurious car was smashed on June 9 evening and valuables were stolen. Abhishek’s car was parked in the Rohini Sector-7 market in the evening when the incident took place.
“Government is saying that don’t use black tinted windows in your cars because crime rate is increasing but if we public use non tinted windows car’s windshields are being smashed on busy main roads stealing valuables. Public is being fooled by the government and such mishappenings are taking place. What should the citizen of Delhi do? Crime rates are breaking all records now and I feel Delhi is not safe during nights only but as well as in day time too,” a frustrated Abhishek told Sports Tak.
Abhishek is yet to reveal the total cost of valuables stolen from his car. The incident was caught on CCTV camera installed in the market.
“Today my Audi Car’s back windshield was smashed by robbers and my valuables were stolen from the car. This happened today 9 June 2022 on Main Road in Rohini Sector-7 at around 7:30pm. This complete incident happened right under CCTV Camera. I have filed the complaint but I don’t know what’s going to be its result and how much time it will take,” he added.
The 32-year-old has filed a complaint but does not have belief in the police to nab the robbers.
“I’m very disappointed by the increasing crime rates and theft robberies,” he concluded.
Abhishek is a decorated athlete in world archery. He is a four-time World Champion and one-time Asian Games gold medallist. His latest triumph came in Antalya, Turkey in second stage of World Cup.
