Frank Warren has come out with immediate thoughts after Tyson Fury made the sudden announcement of retiring from the sport of Boxing, on Monday. Fury, who is one of the most successful and widely recognised boxers in the world, took the decision weeks after the second consecutive loss to Oleksandr Usky. While the talks of a potential clash with rival Anthony Joshua were prevalent but the Gypsy King has put a full stop to all the assertions.
Frank Warren Pays Tribute to Tyson Fury
Tyson Fury, whose 34-2-1 record is one of the best among modern heavyweights, reigned as the king of the weight class on two occasions. His success took his popularity to unparalleled heights. Paying heed to the startling announcement made by Fury, Queensberry Promotions boss Warren expressed his respect for one of the biggest boxing stars and tipped him to go down in the history books.
"If we never see him again, that's his decision and that's how it should be," he told talkSPORT. "He has nothing to prove to anybody.
"I've been around a long time and I've seen all the great fighters of my generation. He's up there with all of them. He's been a magnificent warrior.
"I read some of this crap these guys who put their poison pens on him. What he has done in the ring, he has done proudly on behalf of British boxing. He's been a warrior.
"Every fight he's had has been an exciting fight with everything. He's had courage, commitment, bravery. He'll be in everybody's memories for years to come."

Not the First Time Tyson Fury Has Retired
Though the announcement came out of nowhere, it is not the first time Tyson Fury has made an announcement of such sort. He made one such announcement in 2022 following the win over Dillian Whyte. Keeping the past in consideration, some fans are speculating that he has an ulterior motive related to Joshua fight and that the decision is a part of a ploy.
Nevertheless, the Briton has struggled with mental health issues and a family tragedy in the past year, thus, even if he should not step inside the ring again his legacy is secured and will always be known as one of the legends of the game.
