Jon Jones Is Intimidating During Training As Well

In an episode of the JAXXON Podcast, he explained: “I trained with Jon quite a bit. Jon’s a great training partner.

“When Jon was a lot skinnier, before he started to put weight on, before he started to find his power source and really sit down on his punches, I used to spar Jon a lot.

“But when he started to find his power, I stopped doing that.”

Condit Names the Fighter Who Dropped Jon Jones on the Floor

As the MMA fans always yearn for a good fight, the desire to witness Jon Jones meeting his match has remained in store. However, so far no one has ever been able to get the better of the pound-for-pound mainstay. Nevertheless, a claim made by former UFC interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit puts this assertion into doubt.

Appearing on the Jaxxon Podcast hosted by Jones' former opponent Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson, Condit revealed he had sparred Jones frequently during their time together at Jackson Wink MMA.

Asked whether anyone has ever gotten the better of the pound-for-pound mainstay during their time together, Condit confirmed that a former UFC fighter had dropped Jones during a sparring session.

'Then once he started sitting down on his punches and finding his power, I stopped doing that.'

He continued: 'One morning, I think it was like a it's like Tuesday morning, like 9am sparring. We're in there, tipping and tapping. We get this dude.

'I don't know if you guys have ever heard of Adlan Amagov. He's Chechen, and he fought in the UFC a couple times. His last fight, they carried his opponent out on a stretcher.

'But yeah, he finished a number of guys. He was like a spinning back kick guy, and he f***** me up.

'And then I think a round or two later, he hit Jon with that spinning back kick.'

Asked by Jackson whether the kick had dropped Jones, Condit responded in the affirmative.
