Having waited an eternity for Jon Jones to come on board for the title unification bout, interim UFC Heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has moved on from the fight and deems Jones as a retired professional. Moreover, since he thoroughly believes that Jones will never return to the Octagon again, he did not refrain from calling himself the undisputed king of the heavyweight division.

Tom Aspinall Ready to Move on as Jon Jones Continues to Stall
While the MMA world is eagerly waiting for the announcement of Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall fight, the fight looks unlikely to materialise. As per UFC CEO Dana White, Jones vs Aspinall is a done deal and only the formality of an official announcement awaits. However, there are healthy speculations that state otherwise. And adding fuel to the fire is nothing but the assertions of Jon Jones retiring from MMA. Subsequently, Tom Aspinall also declared Jones as a retired professional.
"Jon Jones is retired," Aspinall said Monday, according to ESPN's Brett Okamoto. "I want to say God bless him moving forward in what he does with his life and career. We move on. I'm the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. I'm ready to take on all comers and get this division moving again."
With Aspinall not ready to wait more, a decision regarding the bout may come soon.
