They had previously opened their store in India but had to close due to COVID-19 lockdown.

Taiwan-based badminton brand named ‘Victor Rackets’ is re-entering the Indian market to provide quality badminton equipment to Indian consumers including apparel, grips, kit bags, rackets, shoes, shuttlecocks, strings and other badminton-related products. The ‘Victor Rackets’ opened their first store in the Indian capital New Delhi on April 16. The showroom is located in DLF Towers Moti Nagar. 

 

Victor Sports has expanded its branches across the world including Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand and China. However, Victor Sports had previously opened stores in Bangalore and Dehradun in India but had to shut them down due to COVID-19 lockdowns.

 

“Victor has 426 showrooms across the globe, similar to the one we are opening in New Delhi today”, General Manager of India, Ben Hsiung said.

 

“This is our first official brand showroom here, and this is just the beginning of our India plans. It’s always better late than never”, he added.

 

“At Victor, we believe that Badminton is not only for players to compete with each other. Badminton is also for consumers to have fun with. In the showroom, you will find that Victor has professional Badminton equipment for players to perform, and a lot of fun collaborations like Spider-Man rackets and Crayon Shin-Chan shoes for our younger customers to enjoy and collect," added Ben Hsiung.

Victor is also the official sponsor for Ashwini Ponnappa, India's badminton tournament winner of women’s and mixed doubles, and Prannoy HS, India's ace Men’s singles badminton player.

 

"The brand's official presence in India is a statement about its belief in the potential of Indian badminton and can be instrumental in creating a hub for badminton enthusiasts to chase their dreams," remarked Ashwini during the opening of Victor's showroom.
