Being a UFC fighter one has to constantly remain on his toes and deliver in his fights. Once a fighter gets onto the trail of losses then the promotion does not see the individual as indispensable, and an eventual release ensues in most of the cases. While Warlley Alves did not carry the same stature in the promotion as the aforementioned names enjoyed, the fighter did have his moments in the biggest MMA promotion in the world. The Brazilian went toe to toe against Kamaru Usman in 2016 and while he could not manage to get hold of Usman, he got the better of the former UFC Welterweight Interim champion Colby Covington. Alves has received his marching orders following four consecutive losses during the last four years. So far he has featured in 22 fights and has won 14 of them while losing 8. The fighter is still 34 years of age and could find another promotion to showcase his fighting prowess. However, as for the UFC, the stint is over.
