On the November 18th episode of Raw, it was announced that Sky will be a participant in the Women's WarGames match at the upcoming Premium Live Event. The former Women’s Champion will join forces with Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, Naomi, and a returning Rhea Ripley to face off against Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae in the high-stakes WarGames match. While this will be the first time many participants experience the intense double cage structure, Sky is no stranger to its chaos.
Sky has become a standout performer in WarGames matches, famously known for her daring trashcan dive from the top of the cage.
The history
Sky will compete in the stipulation match On November 30th for the record 6th time, making her the only wrestler on the entire roster to compete in the match every year.
Although Sky holds the record for the most Women’s WarGames matches, the overall record for most appearances belongs to Sting, who has competed in 19 WarGames matches.
Iyo Sky Aims for Another Championship Run
2023 was a significant year for The Genius of the Sky. After claiming the Money in the Bank briefcase, Sky successfully cashed it in at SummerSlam, securing her first Women’s Championship on the main roster. She held the title until losing it to Bayley at WrestleMania 40.
Following a victory in a battle royal on Raw, Sky is now the number one contender for Liv Morgan’s Women’s World Championship.
The epic battle is set to unfold at Survivor Series, where Rhea Ripley, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, Naomi, and Iyo Sky will clash with Liv Morgan, WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax, Ms. Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton, Raquel Rodriguez, and Candice LeRae in the WarGames match.
The feud between Ripley and Morgan has reached new heights, marked by Morgan stealing Ripley’s title, her faction The Judgment Day, and the affections of "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio. Morgan has since gathered a powerful team, including Rodriguez, Jax, Stratton, and LeRae.
