A right-handed batsman and an occasional wicket-keeper, William Perkins first showed sparks when, in the 2006 ICC U19 World Cup, he scored 133 off 150 balls and deservedly sneaked away with the Man of the Match award.
Perkins later made his Twenty20 debut for Trinidad & Tobago when they finished as runners-up in the inaugural Stanford 20/20. He then contributed significantly to the team's victory in the second edition a year later. Aged just 21, Perkins received his maiden international call-up in 2008 for a T20I against Australia. He was impressive for his side in the Champions League T20 in India, and remains an integral part of the T&T squad.
