Jannik Sinner continues to enlist his name in the record books. As he adds another milestone, the tennis sensation has broken a decade-old record held by Novak Djokovic on Monday, winning his 26th consecutive set at ATP Masters 1000 events with a commanding 6-1, 6-4 victory over Corentin Moutet in the third round of the 2026 Miami Open.
Jannik Sinner breaks Novak Djokovic's 10-year-old record in Miami Open
The World No. 2 player has extended his remarkable streak at the Hard Rock Stadium, surpassing the Serbian's previous mark of 24 straight sets won in 2016. The Italian had tied the record with his second-round win and broke it by claiming the first set against the Frenchman. The match lasted just 71 minutes, with Sinner dropping only five points on his serve and dominating from the baseline.
This victory also marked Sinner's 13th straight win at the Masters 1000 level and his latest straight-sets triumph, underscoring his dominance since the streak began in the second round of the 2025 Paris Masters. The 24-year-old has now won four Masters titles without dropping a set during this run and remains on course for further success in Miami.
Sinner's efficiency was on full display against Moutet, a left-hander against whom he extended a personal 21-match winning streak. Meanwhile, the four-time Grand Slam champion will next face Alex Michelsen as he bids for a deep run in Florida.
