Novak Djokovic, the Serbian tennis star, recently voiced his frustration over what he perceived as disrespectful behavior from some British fans during his Davis Cup match against Cameron Norrie. Despite the challenging atmosphere, Djokovic showcased his exceptional talent by securing a straight-sets victory (6-4, 6-4), contributing to Serbia's 2-0 triumph over Great Britain. This win propelled Serbia into a semi-final clash with Italy, set to take place on Saturday.

"The entire match, pretty much, [they showed] disrespect, but again, that's something I kind of have to be prepared for," Djokovic said.
"In the Davis Cup, it's normal that sometimes fans step over the line, but in the heat of the moment, you react too, and you, in a way, how can I say, show that you don't allow this kind of behaviour," he added.
Djokovic's encounter with the British supporters reached a peak during his post-match on-court interview. As he tried to address the audience, a segment of the British fans started drumming loudly, making it difficult for him to be heard. In response to this disturbance, Djokovic reportedly called out to the crowd, asking them to be quiet.
"I mean, they can do whatever they want but I'm going to respond to that. They were trying to annoy me the entire match, so yeah, we had a little bit of a chat in the end," he added.
Acknowledging his fatigue after a long season, Djokovic expressed his determination to conclude the year on a high note by aiding Serbia in their quest to clinch the Davis Cup. His commitment to the national team remains unwavering despite an already packed and successful season.
"Being there on the court for my country is always extra push, extra motivation," Djokovic added.
"Part of me looks forward to rest and recalibration and leave the racquet on the side but right now I cannot allow myself to enjoy those thoughts about holidays," he added.
Djokovic's achievements this year have further cemented his status as one of tennis's all-time greats. He has added another Australian Open, French Open, and US Open titles to his impressive collection. His only major defeat this season came at Wimbledon, where he was bested by Spain's Carlos Alcaraz. Continuing his record-breaking spree, Djokovic recently clinched his seventh championship at the ATP Finals in Turin, concluding the tour season on a high note.
His performance in the Davis Cup has been particularly noteworthy. Since 2011, Djokovic has remained unbeaten in 21 Davis Cup singles matches. With his 44th victory in the tournament, he has now surpassed Nenad Zimonjic to become Serbia's record holder for the most Davis Cup match wins, a testament to his enduring prowess and dedication to both individual and team success in the sport.
