The first Grand Slam of the year is around the corner, with heavy favorites, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, already hitting the court in the practice sessions. Ahead of the Australian Open, the two took part in several interviews and interactions, and this one has everyone’s eyes on.
Sinner & Alcaraz reveal each other's contact names
In a video posted by an X (formerly Twitter) user, from an interview, tennis stars Sinner and Alcaraz reveal how they save each other's phone contacts. The interviewer asks: “What name do you have each other saved as in your phones?”
While Alcaraz had a crystal clear answer, Sinner’s humorous reply, considering it as an “old style,” has made it go viral. Alcaraz, the six-time Grand Slam champion, said:
“For me? For me, it's Jannik Sinner.”
Sinner, on the other hand, replied:
“And I saved him because he changed numbers, so I have Carlos Alcaraz (NEW) Very old style.”
Meanwhile, Alcaraz, despite having six majors, has never been able to win a Grand Slam in Melbourne. With the motivation high, the Spanish sensation will try to stop his arch-rival, Sinner, from a three-peat. The Italian has won the last two Australian Open titles in a row.
