Iga Swiatek has announced that she will now be working with Francisco Roig, who recently parted ways with Emma Raducanu. The former US Open champion split with Roig in late January following her second-round defeat at the Australian Open.
Meanwhile, Roig will now be coaching the World No. 4, and Swiatek confirmed the news by posting a picture of herself with her new coach, introducing the partnership to the fans.

Roig has famously coached Nadal for 17 long years and was part of the Spaniard’s 22 Grand Slam titles. The 58-year-old is a retired tennis player and was mainly a doubles player. He coached Nadal from 2005 to 2022.
Along with him, Roig also coached Matteo Berrettini and Raducanu, and will now lead Swiatek. Additionally, Roig also coached ATP tennis player Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, but subsequently ended that partnership to begin coaching WTA star Iga Świątek from April onward.
