Finn Balor surprised the WWE fans on RAW this week when he interrupted World Champion CM Punk and made it clear that he wanted a shot at the title.
Balor is a former Universal Champion in his own right and made it obvious he was coming for the World title ahead of this week's episode. Balor pushed for a title match in Ireland next week, and it was later cleared by WWE.
Initially, CM Punk wished to defend his title against Balor in Dusseldorf, but he made it clear that he wanted home advantage next week in Ireland and noted that it would be "The Prince vs Punk."
Balor has been known as The Prince in the past, and while on the independent circuit, he fought as Prince Davitt, but while a member of The Judgement Day, he has not been able to bring back the iconic character.
Will Finn Balor bring back his alter ego next week on RAW?
Prince Devitt became ironic for his face paint and the way he would dress up as other characters, so this could be a huge boost since this is a huge fight for Finn Balor in his home country.
It is not hard to imagine that he could bring The Demon back in the hopes that he would be enough to defeat Punk, since he was belittled by the champion this week on RAW.
The Demon was a fantastic alter ego for Balor, but he has not been for several years, and WWE RAW in Ireland could be a great opportunity for Balor to bring him back for a one-off appearance. Even if he isn't able to win the title, there could be a way for the match to end without him taking the defeat.
Interference from Bron Breakker would be good enough for Balor to lose via DQ and then tease a face turn.
