The seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady revealed in March 2020 that he would not re-sign a contract with the New England Patriots after playing for them for at least 20 seasons. A few days down the line, he signed for Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But, four years after this happened, Brady revealed that there was a chance that he could have signed for another NFC team.

On Sunday, 29th September, Brady made a return to Raymond James Stadium to cover the Week 4 matchup between Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles. The Bucs defeated the Eagles 33-16. During the broadcast in the fourth quarter, Brady revealed that he could have signed for Chicago Bears.
"There was a lot of reasons to choose Tampa, and I made about 18 criteria why. And there was things all the way from a salary, obviously, to the weather to the facilities to how great the players were," Brady said.

"And ultimately, Chicago was a team, and I never told that story before. They were very stealth in their recruitment. I was seriously considering. But in the end, it came down to Tampa,” Brady added.
Tom Brady in his long National Football League (NFL) career won seven Super Bowls. Six of them came while playing for New England Patriots and the seventh came for Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Tom Brady will not call his former team's Week 5 game
After having a reunion with one of his former teams in Tampa in Week 4, many expected that he would be present to call the Patriots Week 5 game against the Miami Dolphins. But, that won't be the case according to ESPN's Mike Reiss.
"Barring an unexpected change in the coming days, Tom Brady isn't scheduled to work the Patriots' Week 5 home game against the Dolphins, which will be broadcast on Fox. A source familiar with his schedule expects he will call the Cardinals-49ers game," Reiss said.
