The seven-time National Football League (NFL) winner Tom Brady has broken his silence on whom he'll support during the Kansas City Chiefs-Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl 59 clash in New Orleans on February, 9. Tom Brady will be seen making his Super Bowl debut as a commentator and will be alongside Kevin Burkhardt.
Who will Tom Brady support in Kansas City Chiefs-Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl 59?
While it is expected that Brady will be neutral for the clash, it is natural to assume that he will be supporting Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. Mahomes has already won the Lombardi Trophy thrice and could join the likes of Brady, Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana on the list of signal-callers with four wins to their names.
Mahomes can also etch history by becoming the first quarterback to lead his team to three consecutive Super Bowl wins. On top of it, Mahomes is on a better career trajectory than Brady was at the same age and is dubbed as somebody who will surpass him as the greatest ever.
Brady will have nothing but praise for Mahomes if the Chiefs manage to win on Sunday.
Well, I’m broadcasting the game, so I don’t really have a rooting interest per se. The only thing I root for in these situations are great games. I will say if the Chiefs win, I will be very happy for them. I mean, what they’ve achieved is unmatched, Brady said on Let's Go podcast.
Being on a team most people root against: Tom Brady
Tom Brady doesn't have a vested interest in seeing one team win on Sunday, most people want the Eagles to win and deny the Chiefs a historic three-peat and a fourth Lombardi Trophy win in six years. Brady knows what it's like to be on a team most people root against and doesn't understand going into the Super Bowl 59.
People always hated on us for so many years. And I didn’t understand it because all I did was like, we try to do things the right way, we try to go out there and compete for our job and win. And there’s an excellence that I appreciate about people who are doing other things at really high levels because you understand the commitment that it takes for them to do what they’re doing. And to be in this country and to not cheer for excellence is beyond me, Brady concluded.
