The Chiefs thrashed the Saints 26-13 in their recent NFL matchup.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has been in a high-profile relationship with Global Superstar Taylor Swift. The couple has been giving their fans several moments of couple goals, be it Taylor Swift turning up for the Super Bowl or Travis being spotted in the Eras Tour. The duo never fails to set a precedent of their love publicly. While the Taylor Swift factor seems to be working for Travis who has been in the limelight and started becoming an NFL cult in terms of popularity, critics believe she is responsible for his poor run.  On the September 23 episode of "The Ryen Russillo Podcast," former ESPN analyst Todd McShay pointedly suggested that Kelce's recent surge in fame and his "jet-setting" lifestyle could be contributing factors to his struggles.

McShay remarked, “Every show I watch, every pregame show, halftime show, postgame show, weekday show, every broadcast I watch for the last few weeks, it’s like, are we not allowed to say that he’s out of shape? That he’s been partying all offseason? He’s been jet-setting around with the most famous person probably in the entire world,” referring to Kelce's relationship with Swift, which became public in September 2023.

Taylor brings out his A-game

Amid this criticism, Kansas City Chiefs safety Justin Reid has a different point of view regarding Taylor's presence in the games. He recently shared that Travis Kelce's performance noticeably improves when Taylor Swift is in the stands.

In his appearance on Up & Adams, Reid said, "Absolutely. Who doesn’t play better when they want to impress their girlfriend?" He humorously added, "Taylor, come to all the games. Taylor, keep coming."

Chiefs unstoppable run

Since the season began in September, the Chiefs have claimed their fifth victory following their game against the New Orleans Saints. The Chiefs thrashed the Saints 26-13 in their recent NFL matchup.  Swift has been a regular at several games, although she missed two earlier this season before returning to cheer on Kelce. For the matchup, she wore a stylish plaid Vivienne Westwood top and skirt set, paired with knee-high black boots and a trendy golden purse. Her makeup featured her signature bold red lipstick and playful glitter on her cheeks. Kelce's brother, Jason, commented on her outfit during the Monday Night Countdown, saying, “Look at that now…That looks good.”

The Chiefs will now face the San Francisco 49ers in the next game on October 21.
