During Game 4 of the American League Division Series (ALDS) last week, Patrick Mahomes was present at the Kauffman Stadium to watch the Kansas City Royals clash against the New York Yankees. The quarterback was seen jumping around the box when the Royals tied the game. His former Chiefs teammate, Gehrig Dieter was also present in the box as he is a diehard fan of the Yankees.

What did the NFL analyst say about Patrick Mahomes?

Gehrig Dieter was a guest on the NFL Network's 'Good Morning Football' on 18th October, Friday morning and said that Mahomes likes to trash talk about Baseball. But on the other hand, Kyle Brandt told Dieter that he was shocked to see how calm Mahomes is on the football field. He was also excited about the Royals scoring one run.

"He was more hyped for one Royals run than he was for his last Super Bowl. It was crazy," Brandt said.

Recently Dieter was seen at the Yankee Stadium alongside Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift for Game 1 of the American League Championship Series (ALCS). The former NFL wide receiver played five seasons for the Kansas City Chiefs before announcing his retirement from the sport in June 2022.

How much did Patrick Mahomes invest in the Kansas City Royals?

In the coming future, Patrick Mahomes will see himself make a Hall of Fame career in the National Football League (NFL), but up until high school, he wanted to pursue a career in Baseball. The three-time Super Bowl champion is a minority owner of the Kansas City Royals which allows him to stay close to the sport.

His journey in MLB started in 2020 shortly after he signed a ten-year contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs that was worth a whopping $500 million. He bought a 1% stake in Royals that cost him $10 million. When Mahomes bought the stakes, he was 24 years old and became the youngest owner in MLB.

Apart from Kansas City Royals, Mahomes also has stakes in Major League Soccer's Sporting Kansas City, the NWSL's Kansas City Current which is owned by his wife, Brittany Mahomes. He also has stakes in Alpine Racing, the team that races in Formula 1. He is also trying his luck in pickleball and will soon own a professional pickleball team.
