The NFL and AFL rival football leagues have merged for over 50 years now and established the Super Bowl. 32 teams enter the campaign in the hope of winning the Lombardi Trophy, which is the NFL’s biggest and most coveted trophy. However, there are a few teams which has not yet managed to win the title.
NFL teams to have never won Super ft BIG teams
There are 12 franchises which has failed to win the Super Bowl title, and the list includes some big names. The Minnesota Vikings and the Buffalo Bills are two of them to have appeared in the Super Bowl four times but failed to grab the title in any of them. The Vikings made their last appearance at the final in 1977, while the Bills made it in 1994.
The Cincinnati Bengals are another team that has not won the Super Bowl despite having appeared in three finals. Their last appearance was in 2022. Then come the Atlanta Falcons and the Carolina Panthers, to have played in the final twice and have won in none of them. The Falcons' last played in Super Bowl appearance was in 2017, while the Panthers made it in 2016.
The Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans, and the Los Angeles Chargers are the franchises to have made it to the Super Bowl once and lost it. The Cardinals last played in the final in 2009, while the Titans and the Chargers made it in 2000 and 1995, respectively. The rest of the franchises are yet to make it to the Super Bowl. As the NFL 2025-26 is in full swing and the teams will attempt to make it there, here is a look at the NFL teams to have never won a Super Bowl title.
