Patrick Mahomes' father, Patrick Mahomes Sr has been arrested, as per the reports. This is not the first time that he has faced legal actions. Pat Mahomes Sr, a former baseball player, was facing charges back in February 2024, just days after his son won the Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Patrick Mahomes’ father is reportedly arrested for this reason
Mahomes Sr was arrested in Texas for an alleged probation violation. According to Smith County District Attorney Jacob Putman’s confirmation to KLTV, the quarterback’s father was arrested in the Smith County Jail on February 3.
TMZ obtained the court documents, which revealed that his alcohol ankle monitor allegedly delivered a high reading on January 1. Following this, he took two urine tests on January 5 and January 9, and both came out to be negative.
Several outlets have reported that a motion was filed to revoke probation due to the alleged vio;ation and Mahomes Sr can also contest the allegations. Meanwhile, in case he is found guilty, the Chiefs’ star’s father could face up to 10 years behind bars for violating his probation.
Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes, the three-time Super Bowl champion, is currently in the offseason as he saw his side eliminated from the NFL Playoffs by the Los Angeles Chargers. The 2026 Super Bowl championship game will be played between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks.
