Kylie Kelce, sister-in-law of Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, has shared her enthusiastic take on Taylor Swift’s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, revealing her favorite tracks — including one that cheekily references her brother-in-law.
Kylie Kelce’s take on Taylor Swift’s album
On the latest episode of Not Gonna Lie (Oct. 9), Kylie Kelce praised Swift for delivering a collection of songs packed with energy.
“My favorites on the album are definitely ‘Wi$h Li$t,’ ‘Opalite’ and — who are we kidding — ‘Wood,’” she revealed.
The track “Wood” sparked laughter and a bit of blush, as it contains playful lyrics with nods to Travis Kelce. Swift sings, “Forgive me, it sounds cocky / He ‘ah-matized’ me and opened my eyes / Redwood tree, it ain’t hard to see / His love was the key that opened my thighs.” Kylie admitted the details were a little much when it came to her brother-in-law. “Do I need that much detail, specifically about my brother-in-law? Probably not. But also, good job, Trav!”
She continued to show support for Taylor Swift’s artistry, saying, “That’s it! Guys, yes, 1,000%, yes. That’s women supporting women. Proud of you.”
Kelce family reactions
Kylie is not the only Kelce family member reacting to Swift’s album. On New Heights (Oct. 8), Travis Kelce played coy about the song “Wood,” saying, “It’s a great song. I love that girl … any song that she would reference me in that way …” His brother Jason Kelce, who is married to Kylie, added humorously, “It’s not just you. It’s an appendage. It’s a very specific thing.”
The playful family commentary highlights the close-knit and lighthearted dynamic within the Kelce household as they navigate the high-profile engagement between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, announced in August.
Favorite tracks and family fun
Beyond the cheeky references, Kylie shared that she’s been enjoying Opalite, particularly listening to it with her 4-year-old daughter, Ellie, during school runs. However, her top pick remains “Wi$h Li$t,” noting how she relates to the lyric:
“Have a couple kids, got the whole block looking like you.” She joked, “The Kelce genes are strong … Luckily, they make very cute children. Can confirm.”
Taylor Swift’s new album has been a commercial success, selling over 3.5 million units and breaking the record for the biggest opening week in the modern era, while the family prepares to welcome the 14-time Grammy winner officially as a sister-in-law.
