The NFL icon was on-site at Lambeau Field for the Green Bay Packers' blowout 38-10 win against the San Francisco 49ers. During his appearance on Fox's 'The OT' post-game show, host Curt Menefee made him aware of some news that shocked him. That was the time when he came to know that the former New England Patriots player has to work on Thanksgiving this season following his $375 million Fox Sports role. Menefee said:
"Hey, Tom (Brady), (Michael) Strahan's first year, he learned that he actually had to work on Thanksgiving Day.”
The host continued:
"He thought he had it off. Did they tell you that before you came? You have to work on Thanksgiving Day this year."
A visibly shocked Brday, with his eyes wide open, replied:
“What?”
They then laughed it off and suggested that they all skip the work and have a Thanksgiving dinner together while leaving the rest at the rest of the crew.
Brady initially agreed to join Fox Sports in May 2022 following the network’s massive long-term announcement after his playing career was over. After the former Patriot superstar’s final retirement, he made his broadcasting debut during the 2024 NFL season, teaming with lead play-by-play voice Kevin Burkhardt.
Following his lucrative 10-year contract, the former quarterback has become the most expensive commentator ever. Brady spent 23 seasons in the National Football League playing for the Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He then went on to become the greatest quarterback of all time before his stunning career as an NFL broadcaster.
