The 2020 NBA Finals happened when the Covid 19 pandemic was at it's peak. Many wanted the season to be called off, but the NBA decided to have a bubble tournament that took place at Walt Disney World in Bay Lake, Florida. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the LA Lakers defeated Miami Heat 4-2.
Some former and present players contend that the championship needed an asterisk due to the circumstances it took place in, holding many games with virtual fans. Many players said that it was becoming difficult for them to perform inside the secured location.
In front of 18,000 fans at the PayCom Center in Oklahoma on Sunday, Alex Caruso secured his second title. Unlike the Lakers' 2020 title win, the Thunder's 2025 campaign had everything a normal NBA season should have. Caruso couldn't hold back his excitement after winning another ring without anybody questioning it's validity.
