Chicago Sky star player Angel Reese is on the brink of missing a game in the ongoing WNBA season as she is just one foul away from an one game suspension.

Will Angel Reese miss Indiana Fever clash?

The two-time WNBA All-Star recorded her seventh technical foul during the Sky's 91-68 loss to the league leading Minnesota Lynx on Tuesday. Should she have picked up another technical foul in Thursday's game against the Seattle Storm, she would than miss the clash against the Fever on Sunday.

Reese notched her league-leading seventh technical foul in the first quarter of Tuesday's game. However, the play was unclear as it was not broadcasted on the TV. Reese was fouled on a driving layup attempt and as she walked to the free throw line, a technical had already been assessed on the 23-year-old.

On Tuesday, CBS Sports' Jack Maloney wrote an article that Reese's technical foul came due to her verbal spat against Minnesota Lynx guard Diamond Miller.

As per the WNBA rules, eighth technical fouls will automatically hand a player one game suspension without pay in the regular season. From there, every two technical points further will hand you another one game suspension.

The threshold has increased this season after a shift to 44 game season from the previous 40 game season. Last season, seven technical fouls handed you one game suspension.

Angel Reese on the brink of suspension, more trouble for Chicago Sky

Despite losing out to Minnesota Lynx on Tuesday, Angel Reese recorded her 10th straight double-double performance. The Sky superstar notched up 11 points and 11 rebounds on 4-for-8.

Reese has been one of the crucial player for the Sky as they have a 7-16 record this season. She has been averaging 13.8 points and 12.5 rebounds per game on 44.8% shooting. In her absence, ever game is crucial in order to qualify for the playoffs.

Her seven technical fouls have come in 22 games. She is technically averaging one technical foul every three games and if it stays the same, she might be missing a game. Her first technical foul came in the season opener against Indiana Fever.
