One year after the blockbuster trade that stunned the NBA world, Anthony Davis is involved in another transfer, and this time, the Dallas Mavericks star is going to the Washington Wizards. The same month in 2025, the 32-year-old was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers for Luka Doncic in a three-team deal facilitated by the Utah Jazz.
All about Anthony Davis to Washington Wizards trade details
The Wizards are acquiring Davis from the Mavericks in an eight‑player trade. The move will also send multiple draft picks to Dallas, as per reports. According to a report in Sky Sports, Washington will send Khris Middleton, AJ Johnson, Malaki Branham, and Marvin Bagley III to the Mavs, along with two first‑round picks and three second‑rounders.
Meanwhile, the Wizards will receive guards Jaden Hardy, D'Angelo Russell, and Dante Exum. The Wizards are on the verge of losing their top draft pick if it falls outside the top eight. However, the signing of the former Lakers star, Davis, suggests they are ready to move beyond waiting for lottery luck.
Their lineup in the future looks strong, including Young, Davis, and Sarr, which might help them find their rhythm, unlike this season, where they have lost 36 games out of 49 games and stand 14th in the Western Conference.
